Privacy policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026.
The LurkAlert Research Workspace is a private, invite-only tool for the LurkAlert team. This page explains what it stores and why.
What we store
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive and store your email address, your name, your Google account ID (the "sub" identifier) and, if Google provides it, the address of your profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- A session cookie. After you sign in, your browser keeps one sign-in cookie so you stay signed in for up to 7 days. We store only a one-way hash of it. Signing out deletes it. We use one more short-lived cookie (up to 10 minutes) while the Google sign-in is in progress, to protect it from forgery.
- Agency research data. Business information about insurance agencies (such as names, phone numbers, websites and addresses), with the public source where each detail was found.
- What team members do. Calls logged, notes, edits, imports, invitations and sign-ins, with the account and time of each action. This activity log lets the team see who did what.
- Your table settings. The columns, sort order and filters you chose.
How we use it
We use this information only to run this workspace: to let invited team members sign in, to show the research, and to show who did what. We do not sell or share it with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising. There are no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking cookies on this site. The hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs of requests to help us find errors.
Google user data
Google account data is used only to sign you in and to show your name and email to your teammates in the activity log. The use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the basic sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile).
Where it is stored
The workspace runs on Cloudflare Workers, and its database is a Cloudflare D1 database.
Deleting your data
To remove your access or ask for your account information to be deleted, contact the workspace admin (LurkAlert). Your access can be removed at once; entries in the activity log that record work you did may be kept so the team's history stays accurate, unless you ask for them to be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes too.
